Oskar went above and beyond to make our wedding a magical event. Scotland was a destination wedding for us and most of our guests. As a result we were trying to plan the event from the US. Oskar was our eyes and ears on the ground, coordinating with all of our suppliers. He made several road trips down to Kelso from Edinburgh to tour the venue, coordinate with vendors on-site, and plan our arrival. We never would have been able to source such a talented team of suppliers and vendors from the other side of the world. Along the way Oskar kept us in touch with regular video calls, texts, and emails. We relied on his expertly cultivated list of suppliers who all exceeded expectations. All of our guests raved about the quality of the event and the warm reception they received from Oskar. While many wedding planners are professional and gifted, Oskar went above and beyond, becoming a friend and indispensable resource. We chose Oskar to be the celebrant at our wedding for a few reasons - we had been recommended him, a few of our suppliers also spoke highly of him and when we had an initially call with him we just knew from his questions and conversations that we would create a great personalised ceremony for our wedding. We were keen to make our ceremony personal to us and not too traditional in the sense of doing what most wedding ceremonies cover. Oskar helped us come up with ideas and suggestions and also helped put our ideas into practice/reality! He was open to our suggestions and helped tailor them into our ceremony. Our ceremony was perfect for us, it had little nods to traditions and had our stamp on it too and we couldnt have done this without Oskar's guidance, expertise and also his personality - he was approachable and personable in every step of the journey. We had a sudden change of wedding plans in September due to a health issue so we decided to get married in my native Glasgow. My wife found Oskar online and reached out to him. We cannot tell you how brilliant and helpful he was. We gave him next to no notice but he managed to pull out all the stops and create for us the most perfect day in an amazing venue. From the get go he was absolutely sure he could pull it together even with only a few weeks notice. He collected us from our residence - with the dogs, drove us to the venue, acted as witness, drove us home, delivered the marriage certificate by hand and even took pictures. What a lovely man he is. His colleague also joined as second witness. The two of them were so lovely and a pleasure to deal with. Oskar managed to take all the stress out of the event. We had a vision of what we wanted our wedding to be and had already engaged with a few suppliers, but as the big day got closer, we found it all too overwhelming. Working with Oskar was certainly one of the smartest choices we made as he swooped in and took all the pressure off our shoulders. Additionally, he helped guide us on the smaller details with his experience – he understood our concept and vision and was able to advise us how to get there by tweaking things at times, and also adding some suppliers.
